Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Caregivers

It is hard to believe our final term has come to an end!  It has been another wonderful year, which has flown by so quickly – again!  There have been so many wonderful events that the students have experienced this year, and it has been great to be part of the students’ journey of learning through such an amazing array of experiences this year.

We have much to be thankful for in our school community.  The children’s creativity, enthusiasm, development of friendships, attitude to their work and openness to new ideas and challenges brings life and purpose to our school.

Year 6 & 7 Farewell

Year 6 and 7 Farewell

Our Year 6 and 7 students have had their Transition Days in readiness for Years 7 and 8 and tonight will be celebrating a special graduation mass at 6.00 p.m. reflecting on the end of their Primary Years at Our Lady Queen of Peace School.

For many of our Year 6 and 7 students, they have been at Our Lady Queen of Peace for seven/eight years.  We wish all the Year 6 and 7 students every success and happiness in their high school years and beyond, and hope all that they work towards will be realised in their future.

We also farewell other students who will be leaving Our Lady Queen of Peace for their new school in 2019.  We hope they settle quickly into their new schools and develop firm and lasting friendships.

Many families now finish their community link with Our Lady Queen of Peace as their children move onto new schools.  We extend our thanks to them for their fantastic support and involvement over the past years and wish them all the very best for the future.

Parents & Friends

Hi everyone

On behalf of the P&F I would like to extend my gratitude and thanks to the school community.  It has been another wonderful and successful year.  We have raised almost $11,000.  This could not have happened without your support of all the events throughout the year.

We really rely on your continued help with the P&F Committee and would love you to give some thought about joining our great team.  A huge thanks to Kylie Brock for helping with the Second-hand Uniform shop for the past 8 years, we will miss you next year.

Also to Christine, Libby,Kelly, Anna, Lauren, Kat, Adrianna and Anne, your help has been wonderful, thank you all so much.

We hope you all have a relaxing Christmas holiday with your families.

With love and best wishes

Jane O'Brien
